Senior Citizens Committee
Classes are held as follows:
Location: Williamsville Methodist Church, Main and Oakgrove.
Time: 1-2:30 pm Tues/Thurs.
Instructor: Claudia Fries - Has taught fitness for 32 years.
Class content: 40 minutes, easy to follow, standing movement to oldies music. During that time we use 1 and 2 lb. weights for 15 minutes. Following that segment we do some stretching, sitting on chairs. and then some strengthening and flexibility work on mats. We take 5 minute breaks in between segments and never push anyone to do what they are not comfortable with. A few have chosen not to stay for the floor work. We sometimes use rubber bands for resistance exercise during the chair and floor workouts. Weights and rubber bands are provided.
